Bridge attracts residents ire
Kilcoy residents have taken to social media to express their frustration, as the Kilcoy Creek once more broke its banks, leaving the bridge impassable.
A water-blurred image of the bridge over Kilcoy Creek, showing it under water and impassable. Residents have criticised the low-lying nature of the bridge, saying they warned it needed to be higher.
Residents said Somerset Regional Council was warned the bridge was too low, however their concerns were ignored.
One resident said this was the second time the bridge had gone under, leaving residents struggling to cross the creek.
Others posted images on social media, referring to it as the 'flood proof bridge', when it was underwater and impassable.
