Bruce highway ramp temporarily closed

Motorists can expect delays, reduced lanes, changed traffic conditions and audible noise as temporary ramp closures take place at Buchanan Road and Bribie Island roads as part of the Bruce Highway – Pine River to Caloundra Road Smart Motorways (Stage 2) project.

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) have advised that the Bruce Highway Northbound entry ramp from Buchanan Road will be temporarily closed between 7pm and 5am on Wednesday November 23. 

Motorists travelling northbound from Buchanan Road will be detoured onto the Bruce Highway southbound, take Exit 146 to Uhlmann Road and re-enter the Bruce Highway northbound. 

The Bruce Highway southbound entry ramp from Bribie Island Road will be temporarily closed for approximately one hour after midnight on Wednesday November 23 and Wednesday November 30. 

Motorists travelling southbound from Bribie Island Road and Lower King Street will be detoured to Morayfield Road to re-enter the Bruce Highway southbound at Uhlmann Road. 

Signage will be displayed to communicate these detour routes. 

Motorists can expect ongoing night works from now until project completion. 

These will take place Sunday to Thursday from 7pm to 5am.
