The Caboolture side’s 12th win from 12 games enabled the team to move 10 competition points clear of the second-placed North Brisbane, which was enough to seal top spot with four rounds still to be played.

Caboolture secured the minor premiership in style with a 4-0 win over the fifth-placed Toowong at Dunmore Park.

Jill Kosseris scored two goals while Arabella Cramm and Imogen Batson scored one each.

Caboolture’s dominance has been evident as the top four scorers in the competition have come from the same club, while Caboolture also has scorers in equal-fifth and equal-seventh places.

Kosseris’s tally last weekend took her season haul to 19 goals, followed by Cramm with 12, Beau Acworth and Sam Koessler with eight, Amera Minchenton with six and Batson with five.

The club’s vice-president Andrew Aranovitch said he and co-coach Tina Mawer were thrilled that their team secured the minor premiership with still another four games to play.

Aranovitch said the team was striving to remain undefeated and hopefully take its good form into the finals series.

“We have worked as a squad with the top team all year, and have strived to improve our skills and technical gameplay,” he said.

With the facilities on offer, Aranovitch said the club had been able to train all year regardless of the weather.

Caboolture’s senior women’s team, meanwhile, kept alive its chance of a top-two finish, following its 3-2 win over Toowong in last Sunday’s FQPL3 Metro Women’s match at Dunmore Park.

Madison Franke, Lauren Gynther and Kyra Brunt scored Caboolture’s goals, while Claudia Bamford and Kristy-Ann Parsons scored for Toowong.

If Caboolture finishes second in the FQPL3 Metro Women’s competition, then both Caboolture women’s teams will be promoted to FQPL2 next year.
