A wide range of cars will be on display this Sunday as the Prenzlau Pride Car, Bike and Music Show takes place at the Lowood Showgrounds.

In its ninth year, the event will not only have numerous car classes and bike classes for entrants to showcase their vehicles, but there will also be people’s choice and encouragement awards for cars and bikes.

Judges will undertake the difficult task of selecting winners and runners-up in classes including vintage/veteran, modern, classic and commercial for the cars, as well as vintage/veteran, sports and cruiser for the bikes.

As usual there will also be numerous other activities on offer, as several community groups will be on site while there are plenty of trade and market stalls.

Members of the Prenzlau Rural Fire Brigade and the Lowood branch of Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) will demonstrate rescue techniques.

Food and drinks will be served by Prenzlau State School, and there will be two coffee vans and an ice cream van.

There will also be a bar for those who want to sit back and relax.

There will also be a race car simulator in the Shannons Truck, a jumping castle and face painting. Local band Play ‘N’ Up will again entertain the crowd.

Attendees can buy a number (or more than one number) from the five number boards to win cash prizes and support the local Lions Club in running the event.

Gates open for spectators at 9am, and the trophy presentation will be at about 1pm.

A lucky car/bike entry draw will take place at 1.30pm. Spectator entry is $2. The entrant fee remains at $10 per car/bike. Show car/bike entry is via Lindemans Road only, between 7am and 9am.

Lowood Lions thank the sponsors for continuing to support this event during the difficult Covid years. The show could not continue without the sponsors and the many volunteers who work tirelessly.
