A combined church and anniversary service will take place this Saturday, December 17.

Attendees are expected to come from Mount Mee, Woodford, Caboolture, Dayboro, Gatton, Brisbane and Mooloolaba to mark the historic occasion.

According to an official church document, Reverend Greenwood opened the church on December 16 1922, with about 90 people attending the religious service which was followed by dinner in the hall.

Throughout its 100 years, the church has included the Uniting, Anglican, Lutheran, Seventh Day Adventist, Catholic, and Mountain Top Community Church denominations.

The church has hosted baptisms, weddings and funerals in addition to regular Sunday church services.

This Saturday’s church service starts at Mount Mee Community Church at 10am, followed by morning tea at the Mountain Top Community Church Hall (42 Settlement Road, Mount Mee).
