State Member for Nanango, Deb Frecklington, is encouraging anyone interested in the future planning of the Somerset Region to have their say on a review of the SEQ Regional Plan.

Mrs Frecklington (pictured) said the original SEQ Regional Plan was completed in 2017, and that the current review was an important opportunity for the community to have input into this document.

“It is essential the community has their say about this planning document as it will shape the future of the Somerset,” she said.

“Anyone with an interest in planning for our townships and the future of development in the region should consider providing feedback for this review.”

Submissions can be made at https://shapingseq.statedevelopment.qld.gov.au/, and are open until September 20.

People can also book an online ‘talk-to-a-planner’ session or register interest for one of the community consultation sessions.

To ask questions or raise any particular issues regarding the planning process, contact Mrs Frecklington’s office on 4190 7100, or send an email to nanango@parliament.qld. gov.au.
