D'Aguilar Highway closed
A traffic accident has closed the D’Aguilar Highway, near Wamuran, this morning while rescue crews freed trapped occupants from the vehicles.
It is understood at least one child and one adult were trapped in the wreckage.
Multiple emergency service crews were on-scene to free the trapped occupents.
It is understood the child had serious head and leg injuries and upon being freed from the wreckage both were taken to Caboolture Hospital in a stable condition with neck pain.
The incident happened just before 6:30am near the Franks Lane intersection.
Two vehicles were involved int he crash, with three people assessed by paramedics a the scene.
The section of the D'Aguilar Highway is notorious for traffic crashes, with several fatalities recorded over recent years.
There have been ongoing calls for urgent safety upgrades over an extended length of the D'Aguilar Highway between Caboolture and Kingaroy.
