Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington welcomed the announcement of an extension for two of the disaster flood grants application deadlines.

Primary producers will benefit from the extension of disaster flood grant application deadlines following continued wet weather.
Primary producers will benefit from the extension of disaster flood grant application deadlines following continued wet weather.

Ms Frecklington said the grant will benefit primary producers who have been trying to gain Government support for restoration activities following the continued wet weather.

“While I had called for a three month extension for each of the grant deadlines, the new deadlines extension will give those affected by the November rains, and Ex-Tropical Cyclone Seth an extra two months to apply.

“Please also note, an important and welcome change has occurred in relation to the eligibility of manure and compost claims.”

Mrs Frecklington encourages producers to check with QRIDA for details on 1800 623 946.
