Fundraiser aims to create 40,000 meals for charity
The Mini Farm Project will launch the online fundraiser “Nourishing Hope, Faith, and Charity in Uncertain Times” at a session from 6.30pm to 8pm next Wednesday (June 7).
The online fundraiser aims to create 40,000 meals to feed people in need, as The Mini Farm Project takes a firm stance against food insecurity by establishing a new charity farm at the Wamuran-based LuvaBerry.
The produce will be distributed for free to local charities such as Global Care, Freedom Church, and Breakfast Club Redcliffe.
Founder Nick Steiner said, “We plan to create a number of charity farms in the Moreton Bay Region to help fight hunger and feed people in need.
“With the rising cost of living, the need for our farms is more urgent than ever.”
Next Wednesday’s 90-minute event will bring together a panel of distinguished guest speakers who will share their insights on cultivating hope, nurturing faith, and fostering charity within the community.
The line-up will include Von Barnes from Pinnacle Properties, Pastor Matt Prater from New Hope Church, Pastor Phil Cutcliffe from Springfield Christian Family Church, Joshua Plumb from Nexus Care, and Moreton Bay councillor Brooke Savige.
During the event, participants will gain valuable knowledge on how to maintain positivity and stay on the right path, even in the face of daunting challenges.
“By participating in this event, you will not only gain valuable insights but also contribute to this essential cause,” Nick said.
“If 10,000 people join our online event we can fund this farm the very next day.”
Nick said with the event being online, there was no need to travel or be out in the cold.
