Abbie was one of five Caboolture players to line up for Redcliffe in the seven-week competition, with the Dolphins winning four games and losing two to finish seventh in the 15-team competition.

Redcliffe was one of four clubs to finish on 10 points while two other clubs had 12, as the undefeated Ipswich had 14.

Abbie lined up in the centres in each of the Dolphins’ fixtures, and scored a try in each of their wins against the Souths Logan Magpies, Brisbane Tigers, Norths Devils and Wynnum-Manly Seagulls.

Of the other Caboolture players in the Redcliffe team, Lenniece Wright scored two tries against Norths before Amy Bird scored once in the final-round victory against Wynnum-Manly.

Lenniece donned the No. 10 jersey on two occasions before playing three straight games in the No. 9 jersey and then playing the last game in No. 12.

Amy didn’t play in the first two matches, before wearing the No. 5 jersey as she played on the wing in Redcliffe’s final four contests.

Another Snakes player, Diantae Savage, wore the No. 9 jersey in two games before playing the rest of the competition in the No. 7 jersey, although she started at lock rather than halfback on one occasion.

The other Snakes player in the Redcliffe squad, Grace Filipo, came off the interchange bench in the first two games and then didn’t play in the next two matches, before lining up at halfback and hooker.

There was a bit of Caboolture rivalry in the Redcliffe versus Norths match, won 28-12 by the Dolphins, as the Norths captain was Grace Giampino who also scored a try.

Since the completion of the Harvey Norman Cup, Amy and Lenniece have played in the Snakes senior women’s team while Abbie has played in this team as well as the U17s.

Meanwhile, Grace has linked with Valleys in the Holcim Cup.
