Kilcoy banking woes continue
The residents of Kilcoy have been let down yet again by the malfunctioning of the ATM machine located on Mary Street this afternoon (Thursday, November 10).
Kilcoy's ATM machine has malfunctioned yet again this afternoon.
A handwritten note on the screen was the only thing advising people, and indicated that even the phone number listed to report the malfunction is wrong.
The residents of Kilcoy have been impacted over the last 12 months by constant malfunctions of this ATM, in addition to it regularly running out of cash.
The withdrawal of the last banking service in Kilcoy was when ANZ closed its branch doors, and at the time there were two ATMs in the Kilcoy township operated by ANZ.
However, one of those shut down when the branch closed leaving only one to service the whole of Kilcoy.
About 12 months later the second ATM changed from being operated by ANZ to being operated by ATMX.
