A round-robin format was played in each division, as the juniors played singles while the seniors played doubles.

William Robinson won Junior Div 1, and Milla Ede took out Junior Div 2 while Skylah Paterson was the Junior Div 3 victor.

Jenni Smith and Sarah Todd won Senior Div 2, while Senior Div 1 will be played at a later date.

Ice blocks and plenty of water kept everyone hydrated in the heat, before the post-match presentations were followed by a barbecue lunch.

Although numbers were slightly down on last year’s event which was played in blustery conditions, club president Gil Todd said this year’s participants agreed that the event was both competitive and fun.

“The club would like to express our thanks to the community for its support,” he said.

“Special thanks to our coach Jani Kroyherr for his involvement in our Junior Development Program.”

The Kilcoy Tennis Club will have its end-of-year break-up from 8.30am on Sunday, December 4.

Tennis and pickleball will be on offer as Jani arranges a series of fun games.

Entrants are asked to make a gold coin donation to help cover the cost of the barbecue lunch.
