Another week for mask wearing
PEOPLE will have to continue to wear a mask until 6am on Friday July 30 in the Somerset and Moreton Bay regions, while the Queensland border is closed to residents in Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales.
Masks originally needed to be worn until 6am on Friday July 16 in the Noosa, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Logan, Redlands, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Scenic Rim and Lockyer Valley local government areas, in addition to Somerset and Moreton Bay.
The mask-wearing ruling was subsequently extended for one week before being extended for another week, as the number of Covid-19 cases continued to escalate in NSW and South Australia while numbers were low in Queensland.
