The convoy will start at the Woodford Showgrounds at 9am, and go in a loop before finishing at the Woodford Hotel for lunch and drinks.

A barbecue breakfast will also be available at the Showgrounds from 6.30am, and a lucky door prize will be announced at 8.30am.

The event honours Jackson Hepner, who tragically lost his battle with bone cancer in June last year.

Jackson’s mum Rachael said, “For people to know that others have thought of them can make a big difference to the mental mind when the days are hard.

Rachael said the emotions and struggles that come with a cancer diagnosis were often pushed to the side to get through the physical side of treatments.

“If we can shine a focus on the emotional toll that is taken on families who have to deal with this and the days after when you lose someone you love by showing support, we believe it’s a start,” she said.

“We know our family and many of Jackson’s friends are feeling the loss of Jackson.

“To be able to show emotion and feelings freely when dealing with grief is also a big challenge.

“We are hoping by sharing our story and showing people they are not alone may bring some comfort on the tough days.”

Cost is $10 per vehicle, with all funds donated to charity.
