Demanding time for SES Unit
A spokesperson from Moreton Bay SES Unit said they operated the unit tasking from Caboolture Depot, for tasks at Woodford, Caboolture and Bribie.
As of Friday night there were 53 outstanding tasks which would carry over into Saturday’s operations.
“The tasks were mainly leaking roof and flooding issues,” the spokesperson said.
“We did manage one Flood Boat operation to assist with the movement of people from Woodford prison due to flooding on the surrounding roads.”
Plenty of flood and severe storm warnings were issued. As of Friday night there were about 140 road closures across MBRC, and it increased to 200 on Saturday.
