David Laird, president of the Esk Men’s Shed, said members are busy setting up the shed, and it is a great opportunity for would-be members to learn more about the group.

“We are holding it from 9am on Saturday July 2, while we are not fully operational, it is a great chance for men thinking about joining us to come down and see who we are and what we do,” Mr Laird said.

“This is not our official opening, we are still working towards that, and booking the Mayor and others to be here, but it is a good chance to come down and get to know the members, and learn about the activities we are planning to run.”

The Esk Men’s Shed is based in the old Esk Fire Station, in Heap Street, Esk, and will be open from 9am on Saturday July 2.
