Esk Police

FOLLOWING the disappearance of a 66yr old Esk male, a search and rescue operation consisting of Police, SES, dog squad and POLAIR resulted in the missing person being located safe and well.

Police thank the local community for their assistance in locating him.

A 37 year old Edens Landing man was located by Police in Esk in contravention of a domestic violence protection order. The man was issued a notice to appear.

A 25 year old Esk man was arrested at an Esk licensed premises for public nuisance due to his disorderly behaviour. The man was issued an infringement notice is subject to a ban from the venue.

Esk Police attended a serious traffic crash in Crossdale in which the driver and occupant were transported to hospital as a result of their injuries. The 27 year old male had fallen asleep at the wheel due to fatigue. The driver from Waterford was issued with a notice to appear for driving whilst unlicensed. Police remind drivers that fall asleep crashes are usually severe, resulting in serious injury or death.

Over Easter police issued a large number of infringement notices for driving whilst unregistered, uninsured and unlicensed. Drivers are reminded that it’s their responsibility to ensure vehicle registration and licences have not expired. Reliance on renewal notices to arrive from the Dept of Transport does not provide a defence.
