The chosen organisations from various parts of Queensland received either $142,000 or $81,500 each to deliver local projects to people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Minister for Multicultural Affairs, Leanne Linard, said the projects were due to start in January 2022.

“Organisations funded under the 2022-24 CAMS program will plan and deliver programs that tackle the economic and social barriers facing people,” she said.

“This shows Queensland’s capacity and willingness to work with local groups so that people from diverse cultural backgrounds can access and participate in programs within their own communities.”
