Supported by State MP for Lockyer Jim McDonald, Somerset Regional Council Mayor Graeme Lehmann and Councillor Jason Wendt, the event was an opportunity to remember all those killed in war.

Reverend Brian Kickbusch offered prayers for the fallen, before the traditional minute’s silence at 11am, to mark the end of hostilities in World War One, at 11am on November 11, 1918.

Wreaths were also laid to commemorate those lost in different conflicts, including World War One, World War Two, Korea, Vietnam and later conflicts through to Australia’s most recent engagement in Afghanistan.
