Mandatory masks in Somerset and Moreton Bay

RESIDENTS in the Somerset and Moreton Bay regions are required to wear a mask for two weeks, starting at 1am on Tuesday June 29.

This comes after Queensland recorded three new Covid cases, with two of them locally acquired while the other was detected in hotel quarantine.

Masks need to be worn in the Noosa, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Logan, Redlands, Brisbane, Gold Coast, Scenic Rim and Lockyer Valley local government areas, in addition to Somerset and Moreton Bay.

The times when a mask won’t need to be worn are when you are in a car by yourself or with members of your household; if you are outdoors with members of your household; or if you’re eating or drinking.

The one per four square metre rule will be reintroduced, while visitors in the home will be limited to 30 people.
