A fire that was burning near Sandy Creek and Mary Smokes Creek is now extinguished.

Firefighters were kept busy over the weekend, bringing the blaze under control.
The fire was officially declared out on Monday morning, after previous alerts for heavy smoke and warning residents to stay informed were issued on the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services website over the weekend.
