MP calls for Qld Health to settle funding shortfall
Andrew Powell, State MP for Glasshouse, has called for Health Minister Yvette D'Ath to sit down with Dr Evan Jones and resolve the funding issues for the Health Hubs Doctors Morayfield.
Andrew Powell wants Health Minister Yvette D'Ath to meet with Dr Evan Jones and resolve the funding issues for the Health Hubs Morayfield Urgent Care unit.
"I'm calling on the Health Minister to sit down with Dr Jones immediately," Mr Powell said.
"This must be resolved.
"Caboolture Hospital is already in crisis, it can't handle this as well."
Mr Powell was speaking after Dr Jones closed the Health Hubs Urgent Care unit, after another breakdown in funding negotiations, saying he could not afford to continue to lose money on the Urgent Care facility.
The Sentinel News has submitted questions to Health Minister Yvette D'Ath, and is waiting responses.
