Official opening of Esk Hospital Beautification Garden Area

The Esk Hospital held the official opening of their new garden area recently. This is a beautiful place where (some) patients, family and friends can relax in the beautiful outdoor area which is located along the Wattle Street area of the hospital near the accident and emergency entrance. There is seating, a chess board, fountain, pots of plants and colour together in the beautiful garden setting.

The official opening was attended by many people from different groups. Josh Kilpatrick was the emcee for the official opening. Some of what he said was, “Welcome to you all. There was nothing here six months ago and now it is such a beautiful area. I would like to acknowledge the Esk Hospital Auxiliary, Esk Lions Club, Esk Community Op-Shop, Brisbane Valley Hire, Esk Hospital Social Club, Steve Barraclough Concreating, Joe from Grand Hotel Esk, Toowoomba Shade Sails, Kim and Kelly from administration, Lynn, Nichole, Allison McGregor and Sonya for the planting and hard yakka. Thank you to the kitchen staff today who made the food for this morning.” Melinda Parcell, Executive Director Community and Rural Service West Moreton Health spoke and thanked everyone for attending, and said it was great what the community have done to bring this area to what it now is. She invited everyone to enjoy some refreshments and morning tea. Each person received a daintily packed morning tea. All Covid safe. Thanks to all who donated towards this and especially to those who brought the official opening to fruition.
