Open day for PCYC

PCYC Fernvale will stage an open day from noon to 3pm on Saturday, June 4.

This free community event will have activities for the kids, as well as market stalls, food trucks, police displays, prizes and giveaways, court sports, gym and fitness tours, and other entertainment.

Meanwhile, PCYC Fernvale has started a new program called Basketball After Dark.

Basketball After Dark is a crime prevention program, which keeps the youth off the street and keeps them focused on positive ways to socialise.

This activity involves 20 to 30 people aged from 10 to 17 years, playing basketball with the assistance of police officers, PCYC staff and local volunteers.

The prgram runs at the Fernvale PCYC every Thursday from 5.30pm to 7pm.
