Police charge man over North Lakes sexual assaults
Police have charged a man with the alleged sexual assault of several women and girls in North Lakes this week.
Police will allege the 32-year-old Kallangur man loitered in and around the food court and outside several stores in the major North Lakes Boulevard complex on Monday May 30, allegedly approaching several woman and girls while inappropriately touching himself, and them.
He has been charged with one count each of sexual assault, indecent treatment of a child under 16, obstruct police and possess dangerous drugs. He was denied police bail and will appear in Pine Rivers Magistrates Court tomorrow, Thursday June 2.
Detectives believe there could be other victims and are appealing for anyone who may have been assaulted or witnessed inappropriate behaviour in the shopping complex and precinct to report the matter to local police.
