Police charge people after body discovered

POLICE have charged two people after the discovery of human remains in a forest near Beerwah.


Detectives have charged two people following the discovery of human remains at the Glasshouse Mountains on Tuesday, June 7.

Forensic testing is underway to determine the identity of the remains however they are believed to be those of Donna Howe, a 57-year-old Caboolture woman, who was last seen by family in late April.

Police executed a search warrant at a Balkee Drive address on Wednesday. 

A 41-year-old Caboolture man and a 31-year-old Caboolture man have both been charged with one count each of murder and misconduct with a corpse.

They will appear at Caboolture Magistrates Court Thursday.

Police will allege both people were known to the victim.
