Police to stage information session

LOCAL crime will be addressed as Kilcoy Police and officers from the Crime Prevention Unit conduct a community information session at the Kilcoy State School hall on Tuesday, May 24.

Starting at 6pm, the information session will enable locals to have their say about crime and safety in the region while members of the Queensland Police Service (QPS) will answer questions.

Senior Constable Jo Arthur said the purpose of the session was to provide residents with information on home and personal security, and how to report offences and suspicious behaviour to police.

“We want to keep the community informed and ensure that residents feel safe within their community,” she said.

“It is also to unite people and have them start the conversation amongst themselves as to how they can work together with police to prevent crime.”
