SCATTERED showers are expected in much of south-east Queensland today before a lot more rain is forecast for Tuesday.

Anything up to 60mm is forecast in Morayfield and Caboolture, and a maximum of 50mm is expected from Wamuran to Toogoolawah while up to 60mm or 70mm is forecast from Esk to Fernvale.

Caboolture and Mt Mee were among the areas to receive a lot of rain from last Monday to this Monday, with a week’s tally of 142mm at Caboolture and 154mm at Mt Mee, according to the BoM.

The rain was patchy in other towns, with Woodford receiving 76mm, Kilcoy 49mm, Esk 41mm and Lowood only 18mm in the seven-day period.
