Push to support Woodford/Wamuran Business Network

SUPPORTING local business was the emphasis of a meeting of the Woodford and Wamuran Business Network recently.

Councillor Tony Latter, of the Moreton Bay Regional Council, promoted a “live local, buy local” message to the 10 attendees at Jalla’s Café on Tuesday, July 6.

Also considered needing attention was the aspect of “looking after yourself” — essentially, making time for self-care should be of a greater priority.

The meeting also featured a lucky door prize, with Louwrens Maritz winning a $50 voucher to use at Jalla’s Café.

Further discussion and exploration of the “live local, buy local” theme is on the agenda for the next Woodford and Wamuran Business Network meeting, which will be held at another local business on August 3.

It is the aim of the Woodford and Wamuran Business Network to transition into a functioning Chamber of Commerce; details of how this is anticipated to occur will also be discussed at the meeting.

Anyone wishing to participate in the Network or seek more information is asked to like and follow the facebook page www.facebook.com/wwbusinessnetwork.
