Roads close as creeks and rivers rise

Drivers are urged to take care and only go out if necessary as roads around Woodford, Kilcoy and Esk are cut by rising floodwaters this morning.

Roads damaged by floodwaters - drivers are urged 'If it is flooded, forget it'.

While many bridges are already closed by the rising water, there is now great concern about low-lying roads being cut by water run off, with many of these potentially unsignposted.

Residents from the Sandy Creek and Mt Kilcoy area have reported a number of gullies filled with water, making the roads impassable.

Drivers are urged to take caution, and obey all warning signs.

Police said to follow the rule of 'If it is flooded, forget it'.

More updates will follow during the day.
