There will be industry stalls, motorcycle displays, food stalls, and the chance to win a Ricondi leather jacket, organised by the Queensland Police Service (QPS) and other agencies.

Woodford was chosen as the location because it is a key area where motorcyclists ride regularly, according to Sarah Grayson from the Moreton District Crime Prevention Unit.

Sgt Grayson said motorcycle safety was everyone’s responsibility, and that there would be a slow moves and braking demonstration at Sunday’s event.

Sgt Grayson also said motorcycle safety and reducing crashes were a priority for Moreton district.

Supporters of the project include New Zealand Warriors rugby league captain Tohu Harris, who has adopted the saying, “Dress for the slide, not the ride.” The free event starts at 9am and finishes at 1pm.
