While the BoM has issued a general warning for the region, there is no specific alert in place for the Somerset or Moreton Bay.

At 3pm, a radar image showed a line of intense storm activity stretching north to south from Kingaroy to Allora, and moving eastwards towards Kilcoy, Caboolture, Esk and Fernvale, as well as other locations.

Residents should prepare for possible heavy falls and wind gusts, and monitor the BoM storm warnings for updates.
