Two perish in fatal Kilcoy house fire

EMERGENCY Services were called to a house fire on Golf Links Drive at 2.20pm last Saturday afternoon, June 12.

A crime scene was established when a body was found in the aftermath of the intense blaze.

Heat from the blaze hindered further searches.

A second body was discovered at around 3pm on Sunday following continued investigations overnight and

throughout the day.

It is understood the victims were from overseas and employed by Kilcoy Global Foods.

Further investigations are continuing into how the fire started.

Formal identification of the two people continues.

Police continue to appeal for anyone with information in relation to the fire to contact Police.
