Urban Utilities announces price rise Kilcoy residents

Urban Utilities’ component of the average residential water and sewerage bill will decrease by $8.31 per quarter in Esk and increase by $5.97 per quarter in Kilcoy from October 1, 2021 to make our prices more consistent across the region.

This is separate to the State Bulk Water Charge which is set and controlled by the Queensland Government.

Urban Utilities spokesperson, Michelle Cull, said Urban Utilities would hold its prices at current levels until October 1.

“We’re making several important changes to our prices and tariffs next financial year, to make them more consistent across our service region and easier for customers to understand,” she said.

“Prices are changing by different amounts in our five local council regions – some areas will see a decrease and others will see an increase.

“Since we were formed, we’ve been making gradual changes to our prices and tariffs to be more consistent and this is a significant step to achieve that.”

The 2021/22 prices and tariffs come into effect on October 1, 2021.

Customers are encouraged to contact Urban Utilities if they have questions about the changes.

“If any residents or businesses are having trouble paying their bills, we also urge them to get in touch with us as soon as possible so we can help,” Ms Cull said.
