Urgent Care Clinic to return
MORE than six months after closing the doors on the Health Hub Morayfield's Urgent Care Clinic, practice director Dr Evan Jones confirmed today it will be reopening.
The Urgent Care Clinic at the Health Hub Morayfield will reopen, with a guarantee of Federal funding.
Dr Jones said while the final negotiations were 'ongoing', the Urgent Care Clinic would reopen, with the new Federal Government confirming it would provide funding.
During the election campaign, Mark Butler, the then-health spokesperson for the ALP, said a Labor government would provide $3.75 million in funding for the clinic.
Dr Jones said while the equipment and facilities are in place, there will be a need to hire additional staff, however it would reopen 'as soon as possible'.
