Stopping first in Mulgowie on Monday, 7 February 2022, the Vax Convoy will visit ten towns in the West Moreton region finishing in Fernvale on Friday, 11 February 2022.

The VaxConvoy is an initiative by the Darling Downs and West Moreton PHN to improve vaccine access to disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples living in the region.

PHN CEO Lucille Chalmers said the PHN is committed to improving access to the COVID-19 vaccine for people in the Darling Downs and West Moreton region.

“Getting vaccinated against COVID-19 is the best protection we have to keep ourselves, our families and our communities safe,” Ms Chalmers said.

“To anyone who seeking their first or next dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, we encourage you to visit the Vax Convoy in your community and get vaccinated.”

The VaxConvoy is a walk-in hub, meaning people do not need to make a booking. First dose, second dose and boosters are available for individuals and their families.

A form of ID is required to receive a vaccination, this can be a Medicare Card, however if people are unable to provide a Medicare Card other forms of legal ID will be accepted including drivers licence or passport.
