Somerset Mayor Graeme Lehmann said it was wonderful to see the community getting behind the event, which raises funds that directly assist people living in the Somerset region who have been negatively impacted by natural disasters or personal challenges.

“Families and individuals who are doing it tough can apply for financial assistance from the Mayoral Gala Charity Ball fund through a not-for-profit charity or welfare organisation,” Cr Lehmann said.

“The fund has helped people suffering from the impacts of disability, homelessness, trauma, abuse, or neglect since being established in 2017.

“I’m very proud of the fact that this fund has raised more than $75,000 since it was established, to help those in our community who need a helping hand.”

Tickets for the event cost $150 each or tables of eight can be purchased for $1,120 and will include a three-course meal, drinks package, entertainment and more.

The 2023 event is proudly sponsored by the Lowood and Fernvale Community Bank (Bendigo Bank), Kilcoy Global Foods, King and Co, Urban Utilities and CleanCo Queensland.
