Netballers get the ball rolling

THE future of netball in the Woodford region was on display as Warriors players from U11 to year 12s had their club trials at the Woodford Showgrounds on Saturday, February 5.

The selectors in attendance kept a close eye on the trial games, as the selectors faced the task of placing the players into teams of ability.

Warriors club secretary Hayley Larkin said there were some great skills on display, and that it was always hard on the players when coming back from a large break.

“Some are also new to the club, so the nerves have always set in,” she said.

The Warriors are now settling into their teams, and training with their coaches in the lead-up to the start of the Caboolture Netball Association season on March 5.
