Madeline Brewer, who started work at Somerset’s Art Gallery in late June, was previously Program Team Leader with Flying Arts Alliance Inc, an arts and cultural development organisation that delivers visual arts projects and services to regional and remote Queensland.

Drawn to The Condensery’s unique architectural space and exciting programming of exhibitions and artists, Madeline is looking forward to continuing to promote the gallery as a premier arts facility.

“Flying Arts gave me a great foundation in working with grassroots arts practices across Queensland. I’m looking forward to connecting with the arts community here in the Somerset region, which I can already see is strong and cohesive,” Madeline said.

“I’m also keen to engage with the broader community and strengthen The Condensery’s role as a space for collaboration, discussion and learning.”

Somerset Regional Art Gallery – The Condensery Advisory Committee member Deputy Mayor Helen Brieschke said the gallery had already developed a diverse and successful exhibition program.

“We are so fortunate to have a solid foundation from which to continue to cement The Condensery’s place as an important regional gallery, and I look forward to seeing that continue under Madeline’s curatorship,” Cr Brieschke said.
