New Moreton Bay hotel to help meet region’s thriving tourism growth

Moreton Bay Regional Council has given Elanor Investor Group approval to build a new hotel to address an urgent need for hotel rooms to meet the region’s growing tourism numbers.

The Sydney-based, ASX Listed, Elanor Investment Group, which was established in 2009 and currently manages over $2.7 billion of real estate investments across Australia and New Zealand, will build the new hotel above the Bluewater Square Shopping Centre in Redcliffe which they purchased in 2017.

The new 142-room, eight- level hotel, in close proximity to Brisbane’s domestic and international airports and Brisbane CBD, will provide much needed short-term accommodation in the region to support growing tourism numbers as well as the influx of visitors the 2032 Olympic Games will bring to Moreton Bay.

Public art and murals will adorn the hotel’s frontage, with a bar for hotel guests and the public on the top level with a 360sqm function area, kitchen, swimming pool, offering panoramic views to Moreton Island, provides visitors world- class accommodation in this highly sought retail and tourism destination.

Moreton Bay Mayor Peter Flannery enthusiastically welcomed Elanor Investment Group’s increased investment in the region, recognising that it will help fill the demand for more hotel rooms.

“The Moreton Bay region is one of Australia’s largest and fastest growing areas. Our population already surpasses Canberra, at more than 500,000, with another 200,000 residents projected to call our region home over the next 20 years,” Cr Flannery said.
