Showers expected on weekend

Showers are likely in the Somerset and Moreton Bay regions this weekend while storm activity remains a possibility, according to the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM).

Showers are forecast in Caboolture, Wamuran, Woodford, Kilcoy, Toogoolawah, Esk, Fernvale and Lowood on both days.

More rainfall is expected on Sunday than Saturday, with the possibility of thunderstorm activity inland.

A spokesperson from the BoM said there was the potential for thunderstorms in any of these areas on Saturday and Sunday, although any possible storm activity was unlikely to be severe.
