Rail Trail Classic to support Lions

Somerset Regional Council has confirmed the Lions Clubs of Lowood and Fernvale will be the joint event beneficiaries of the 21st annual Somerset Rail Trail Classic.

Two dollars from every paid entry for the event will be donated to the clubs.

Participants can also make additional voluntarily donations to the clubs through the event registration, or by grabbing a meal from the Lions Club barbecue at the free post run, ride or walk festival.

The Somerset Rail Trail Classic will be held on Sunday July 21.

The much-loved community event will once again feature the 8km and 3km run or walk events from Clock Park in Lowood to the Fernvale Sports Park, as well as a 44km bike ride from Esk to Fernvale.

All events take in breath-taking views of the Brisbane Valley and Brisbane River.
