Angus steers $2,000 at Woodford

244 were yarded at Stariha Auctions Woodford cattle sale on Monday, 26 July.


The market remained fully firm, with all descriptions selling to impressive rates.

Darcy Pratten, Mt Kilcoy, sold lines of young Brangus weaners, with steers making $1,475 and heifers $1,165.

THG Livestock, Wamuran, sold Brangus/Angus steers for $2,000 and $1,830.

Woodbank Partnership, Toogoolawah, sold milk tooth Droughtmaster steers for $1,780 and heifers for $1,340, $1,300 and $1,270.

Larry Williams, Kilcoy, sold Murray Grey cows and calves for $2,700 and pens of heifers for $1,450 and $1,390.

Vern and Kim Duncan, Mt Mee, sold Charbray steers for $1,610.

Bevin Peters, Kilcoy, sold Angus cows for $1,590.

Kevin McSweeny, Woodford, sold yearling Brahman cross steers for $1,640.

MR Friedrich, Toogoolawah, sold a pen of Murray Grey steer calves, 4-5 months, for $1,170.

D and K Perry Partners, Mt Kilcoy, sold Brangus weaners, with steers making $1,300 and heifers $1,290.

Robert Vogler, Kilcoy, sold Brangus cows for $1,700 and a line of Brangus weaner heifers for $1,280.

Karen Miles and Peter Maunders, Harlin, sold 4-5 month old Brangus male calves for $1,105.

Roseville Partnership, Kilcoy, sold Murray Grey calves, with steers making $1,210 and heifers $1,045.

Shanmist Pty Ltd, Royston, sold a line of Droughtmaster weaner steers for $1,345.
