Woodford cattle market continues to soar to new levels

274 HEAD were yarded at Stariha Auctions Woodford cattle sale on Monday, 19 July.


The market continues to go to new levels, with all descriptions selling to very high rates.

Lance Blatchford, Elimbah, sold Brangus/Santa cows and calves for $2,380 and heifers for $1,800.

Darcy Pratten, Mt Kilcoy, sold a Brangus bull for $2,500.

Andrew Rowbottom, Beerwah, sold light Droughtmaster feeders, with steers making $1,635 and heifers for $1,430.

Alberton Investments, Bald Hills, sold a line of Santa steers for $2,080 and Droughtmaster cross cows for $1,980 and $1,730.

Barrie Dunning, Kilcoy, sold Santa cows for $1,750 and a line of Santa light feeder steers for $1,800.

David McCowan, Kilcoy, sold 8 month old Charbray weaners, with steers making $1,495 and heifers $1,190 and $1,160.

Vern and Kim Duncan, Mt Mee, sold Angus cows and calves for $2,325 and Droughtmaster cows for $1,490 and $1,400.

Clinton Thompson, Beerburrum, sold a pen of Murray Grey cows and calves for $2,375.

Darryl Brown, Stoney Creek, sold a line of Droughtmaster feed on steers for $1,680.

Doug McDowell, Neurum, sold Droughtmaster steers for $1,610.

Cody Hennessy, Moorina, sold a line of Charbray heifer calves for $1,020.

Darren Wilks, Woodford, sold 8-10 month old Charbray male calves for $1,500.

Des McCallum, Nanango, sold 5-6 month old Charbray steer calves for $1,210.

Trent Pratten, Mt Kilcoy, sold 8-10 month old Droughtmaster steers for $1,440.

Les Little, Harlin, sold 8-10 month old Charolais steers for $1,550 and $1,300.

Little Family, Harlin, sold Brangus steers for $1,380.

Ellen Tones, Kilcoy, sold a pen of Droughtmaster steer calves for $1,360.
