Twenty schools, including four which are still opened, will be showcased between 10am and 4pm at the reunion.

The Woodford Historical Society researched 10 of the schools being showcased, with an 18-month journey consisting of visits to the State Archives and community interaction to retrieve old school photographs and other memorabilia to use in the displays.

Peachester Historical Society, Kilcoy and District Historical Society, Mt Mee Historical Society, Bellthorpe Progress Association and some committed individuals will have displays of their own.

The Woodford Lions will have a sausage sizzle to feed the hungry crowd.

To coincide with this Saturday’s reunion, the Woodford Historical Society has replaced the plaques at the Woodford school which the Society first donated in 2002.

One plaque is for the Neurum Creek Provisional School building. The other is to commemorate the Durundur Road Provisional School, which was the original name for Woodford P-10 State School when it opened on October 23, 1882.

Enquiries can be made to Donna on 0429 899 115.
