Year 8 students were put into teams and built the bridge construction out of plywood, PVA adhesive, string and masking tape.

The students got to test how well they built their bridges with destructive testing by a variety of weights placed at the centre of the span. The bridge must be constructed in such a way that the weight can be suspended at the centre of the structure and not break.

Team wolf spider’s bridge held 125kgs of weight. The students showed great enthusiasm in this project and enjoyed competing to see who had constructed the strongest bridge.
