Soccer success for Lowood State High School

Two soccer teams from Lowood State High School (LSHS) won their respective grand finals while two other teams from the same school placed second in the recent Combined Ipswich Secondary School Sport Association (CISSSA) competition.

LSHS’s Open Girls and 7/9 Girls teams reigned supreme while the Open Boys and 9/10 Boys teams were runners-up as Bremer SHS, St Mary’s College, St Peter Claver College (SPCC), and Ipswich SHS were the other competing schools.

The Lowood Open Girls played their grand final at Brisbane Valley Soccer Club, while the 9/10 Boys played theirs at the LSHS oval.

Two days later, the 7/9 Girls played their grand final on home soil while the Open Boys played theirs at SPCC.
