Bowls and karaoke light up Lowood
AN ENJOYABLE time was had by all who attended the men’s bowls and karaoke at Lowood Bowls Club on the weekend of June 5 and 6.
Gary, Steve, Rossco and Caleb took out first place at the Lowood bowls carnival on the weekend of June 5-6.
Bowlers from Kilcoy, Caboolture, the Sunshine Coast, Darra, Salisbury, Ipswich, Laidley, Rosewood and Toowoomba joined the local Lowood bowlers for games of fours at the two-day carnival.
The team of Gary, Steve, Rossco and Caleb received $1000 for coming first, while second placegetters George, Brownie, Willie and Pedro received $800.
The third-placed team of Steve, Scotty, Shane and Greg gained $600 while $500 went to fourth-placed quartet Graeme, Mike, Lex and Noddy.
There were plenty of laughs on the greens and at the karaoke, while the chefs were kept busy as plenty of meals were consumed.
Karaoke will return to Lowood Bowls Club in the near future, with dates yet to be determined.
