Helliwell shines in Division 3

The contest was a far cry from a week earlier, when Palmwoods was dismissed for a miserable 33 in an eight-wicket loss to Burpengary.

Palmwoods again batted first, and made a healthy total of 205 while Stephen Helliwell was expensive in his 6.1 overs but captured four wickets.

Opening the batting, Helliwell dominated the run chase as his 110 enabled Burpengary to win by six wickets with 15 balls to spare.

Payback against USC in Division 5

Burpengary gained some sort of revenge after being slaughtered by USC a week earlier.

USC was restricted to 7/132 in 40 overs as Fletcher Ward scored 50 while Burpengary had several economical bowlers.

Burpengary’s batting was shaky as wickets fell at 15, 18, 32, 58, 62, 73 and 97, before winning by three wickets.

Sam Cole had a good all-round game as he claimed 3/28 and then scored a vital 20.

A week earlier, Burpengary made only 53 in reply to USC’s 6/188.
