Rep netballers impress at Bundaberg

GROUPS of Caboolture junior netballers returned home with a swag of medals, following a representative carnival for under 12s through to under 15s at Bundaberg on the week-end of May 15 and 16.

Among the Caboolture teams were 12 netballers who line up in the regular club season for the Warriors, who largely contain players residing in Woodford, Wamuran and Kilcoy.

Additionally, Warriors player Mikaylah Young was an assistant coach for the Caboolture White under 12s while another Warriors player, Makayla Wilson, was among the umpires.

Caboolture Gold came first in Division 1 in the under 13, 14 and 15 age groups, while the Caboolture Gold under 12s were runners-up.

Caboolture dominated Division 2 in the under 14s, as Caboolture White came first while Caboolture Silver was the runner-up.

Caboolture Black won Division 2 in the under 15s.

There was a lot of hard-fought netball across the two days as teams from Caboolture, Bundaberg, Gladstone, Rockhampton, Curtis Coast, Capricorn Coast, Emerald, Hervey Bay, Beaudesert and Pine Rivers took part.

Caboolture’s results were:

Under 12 Division 1: Gold 2nd, Black 3rd (winner Rockhampton, out of 8 teams);

Under 12 Division 2: White 4th, Silver 6th (winner Rockhampton, out of 9 teams);

Under 13 Division 1: Gold 1st, Black 5th (out of 8 teams);

Under 13 Division 2: White 4th (winner PRNA, out of 9 teams);

Under 14 Division 1: Gold 1st, Black 4th (out of 7 teams);

Under 14 Division 2: White 1st, Silver 2nd (out of 6 teams);

Under 15 Division 1: Gold 1st (out of 7 teams);

Under 15 Division 2: Black 1st (out of 6 teams).
